Pictureof the month

This month I was leading a group of Swiss photographers to photograph the seabirds of the UK.

On our last full day of photographing we went to a place called "Saint Abbs", which is just over the Scottish border.

After photographing the coastline and landscape we focussed again on the seabirds. At Saint Abbs there is this big cliff where Kittiwakes (Genus rissa) and razorbills (Alca torda) nest. The abundance of these birds flying in and out is enormous.

Thanks to my fast Canon 1D-X and the fast focus of my 500mm F4.0 I was able to catch these Kittiwakes during some "aerial combat".
